Covid-19 Procedures
Due to COVID-19, students, parents and all staff members will be required to have their temperature taken before entering the facility. We also ask that parents keep track of any symptoms that may indicate sickness, especially those that are indicative of COVID-19. Some of these include, but are not limited to:
- Fever or Chills
- Cough
- Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
- Fatigue/Tiredness
- Muscle of Body Aches
- New Loss of Taste and/or Smell
- Sore Throat
- Congestion or Runny Nose
- Nausea or Vomiting
- Diarrhea
In addition, all students and parents will be required to wear a mask when in the facility.
Care of Children Without Immunization
Parents should have their children immunized against nine major diseases according to the latest recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the United States Health Service (exempted for religious or medical reasons).
Attendance Procedures
- The program's absent day policy-regular attending children are required to notify AM City Kids when they will be absent
- Procedures for releasing a child to people other than the parent, must be put in writing and a dismissal plan will be arranged for the child
- Procedures for releasing child according to a custody agreement will be followed
Supervision and Child Guidance
- Students will be supervised by AM City Kids staff
- Procedure for walking children to play area: Students will go in small groups of 1:5 student ratio for 40 minute breaks to the local park that is within walking distance to the center. Staff will walk students to the park area, constantly monitoring the number of students in group
Opportunities for Parent Involvement in Center Activities
- Parents are encouraged to participate in the space as much as they would like
- If parents want to have conference, they need to request an appointment and it will be arranged
- Parents are encouraged to stay in communication with their child concerning matters of AM City Kids. In the event that a parent wishes to contact an online tutor they must make a request to AM City Kids staff and arrange to connect with a tutor will be provided
Parent provided food and center-wide dietary policy
The center will supplement food when the parent does not provide sufficient food for the day. All dietary needs of students will be followed.
Meals & Snacks
- We will provide snacks to students when they arrive at the center and will provide a boxed lunch for students that participate in our program full-time. Lunch will be provided by an outside third-party vendor
- One (1) meal and a snack will be provided each day
- Enrollment in the center will be with the form #JFS 1234 and will be provided to all interested families
Policy on operation closing due to weather, school delays etc. (14)
In the event of severe weather conditions, AM City Kids Center reserves, right to close or have a delayed opening. We also reserve the right to close for circumstances beyond our control: heat loss in building, power outage, etc.
Policy on When the Center Will Disenroll a Child
Students and Parent(s)/Guardian(s) who are disruptive to learning will be removed from enrollment at the center. All disciplinary actions are left to the Center's Management Team.
